With the launch of the newest trail Growler, a favourite at this year’s Mountain Fest, Velo MSM has started work on its next trail experience – Lug-Tread. Lug-Tread will run from the top of Vanier and connect to Growler, allowing for a full top to bottom thrill ride of more than 1,000 feet of descent.
Over the last five years, Velo MSM has built one of the region’s best trail networks for mountain bikers to enjoy. With an impressive mix of beginner to expert trails, Mont-Ste-Marie is now a “go to” destination for mountain bikers from the Ottawa/Hull region, west to Pembroke and east as far as Montreal.
Let’s keep the trail development going. Donate to the Lug-Tread Trail GoFundMe campaign today.
Lug-Tread will be accessible from the Pilsner trail, or from the top of the mountain when the Vanier lift is running. The vision for Velo MSM’s newest trail is a non-stop adrenaline rush – offering something for everyone.
Funds raised through the GoFundMe campaign will be used to cover the paid trail crew – most of whom are local, Lac-Ste-Marie, residents. The crew has built some of the best, super-fun berms, as well as other gear to help clear the path and keep the trail safe.
Work is slated to begin on Lug-Tread in August with the hope to have it open for the Festival of Fall Colours on Thanksgiving weekend, when the Vanier lift is running.
Help us continue to develop Velo MSM’s network of trails at Mont-Ste-Marie and make it the best all-round MTB destination in the region.
Donate today. All donations, large and small, will get us toward our goal.
